MBC Seniors Team - Oct. 22nd - Bartlett Lake

After finishing well at the WWBT the previous week, my partner and I decided to try our luck against 52 other teams at Bartlett Lake for the MBC Senior Teams tournament without any prefish. Bartlett Lake is normally a great lake for numbers but what we failed to find out was that they were dropping the lake at 8-14 inches per day. Knowing that now, I think I would have changed what we did a little but not drastically.
We started and fished our normal areas all morning and were striking out. We had seen some fish deeper in a cover with channel drop near it that normally fish and thankfully we caught some keepers, two on back to back casts. The fish were in exactly 16.8ft and if missed that depth, then wouldn't get bit. We struggled the rest of the day with some short fish and a few short strikes and only came in with 3 fish for 3.63lbs and finished 38th. It was brutal but lessons learned and looking forward to next tournament.
